Job DescriptionJob Description

The Associate will work as a part of a team handle all activities relating to supporting full-cycle operations of the store. This individual will have excellent customer service skills, will exude professionalism and be knowledgeable about wines from around the world.

Role and Responsibilities.

  • Assist in the selection of wines for the store.
  • Stock and manage inventory.
  • Guide proper shelf management positions and merchandising
  • Promote sales and aid customers.
  • Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, ad appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold throughout the store.
  • Gain and maintain knowledge of products and be able to respond to questions and make suggestions.
  • Assist managers with duties and communicate customer requests.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Assist in other departments around the store when needed.
  • Assist customers by carrying products to the cashier counters, and to their vehicles if needed.
  • Motivate and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Preferred Skills.

  • Overall wine, beer, and spirit knowledge.
  • Must have an outgoing and engaging personality.
  • Great written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Acute attention to detail and ability to promote high quality standards.
  • Exhibits behaviors of honesty, commitment to goal achievement and effective relationships with

Colleagues.

  • Self-start with the ability to quickly adapt to new circumstances as they arise.
  • Must have flexible schedule and be available to work weekends and holidays.
  • Basic computer skills with retail software and able to compose script to post on our social media.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and be able to bend, squat and climb and lift repetitively.
  • Walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for 8-10 hours a day.

Education and Experience

  • Hight school diploma required
  • Preferred experience in sales, service, restaurant/hospitality, or customer management.
