JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled Drafter/Designer who is proficient in the construction process and adept at creating detailed fabrication drawings. The ideal candidate will excel in translating customer requirements into practical, cost-effective design solutions that adhere to budget constraints. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving design issues, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting the team through process improvements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their design needs and propose viable solutions that align with their vision and requirements.
  • Develop and refine design iterations, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and project specifications.
  • Prepare comprehensive fabrication drawings and documents for the manufacturing team.
  • Proactively identify potential design and fabrication issues, offering technical solutions to maintain project continuity.
  • Monitor project costs and ensure all design modifications adhere to established budget constraints.
  • Support the team in process improvement initiatives, aiming to enhance productivity and efficiency in design and manufacturing processes.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects effectively under tight deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Strong technical skills with proficiency in Solidworks software.
  • Associates degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent technical degree with relevant experience preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on practical, cost-efficient solutions.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively articulating design concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in continuous improvement processes, with the ability to effectively implement strategies that enhance team productivity and design efficiency.
