Mechanic Apprentice
As a Mechanic Apprentice, you will be an integral part of our team, learning from experienced mechanics while contributing to the maintenance and repair of various vehicles. This entry-level position is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical inclination, a basic toolkit, and less than 2 years of experience who is eager to develop their skills and advance in the mechanical field
As a Mechanic Apprentice, your duties include but aren't limited to:
- Assist in diagnosing vehicle issues and determining necessary repairs under the supervision of senior mechanics.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Use hand and power tools to perform repairs and maintenance.
- Keep work areas clean and organized, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Learn and apply new techniques and skills as instructed by experienced mechanics.
- Document work performed and communicate effectively with team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Basic mechanical skills and understanding of automotive systems.
- Less than 2 years of hands-on experience in automotive repair or a related field.
- Own a set of basic automotive tools.
- Strong willingness to learn and take direction from experienced professionals.
- Reliable, punctual, and demonstrates a strong work ethic.
- Maintain a valid Indiana Driver’s License with clean driving record and insurability
- Reliable transportation to work (Office in Westfield)
- Ability to lift 50lbs. on a regular basis
- Adherence to the company’s policies and safety standards
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and extended hours during busy season
Job Type
FULL TIME HOURLY RATE BASED ON EXPERIENCE
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Saturday (when needed)
- Overtime
