The Rehabilitation Specialist is an integral position of Arundel Lodge that creates the culture and quality of life that is experienced by the members of Arundel Lodge. The day-to day job responsibilities of a Rehabilitation Specialist include tasks like transportation, assisting with money management, diet coaching, shopping, assistance with ADL's, and teaching life skills, in a classroom setting. BUT the most critical thing that a Rehabilitation Specialist does at Arundel Lodge is to assist people in their journey of recovery from mental illness, physical illness, and substance abuse.

  • Requires HS diploma or equivalent, prefer Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited college or university in a human services field, one-year experience working in the mental health/psychosocial rehabilitation field, or acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Driver's license with acceptable driving record required.
  • Rehabilitation Specialists are expected to practice the Recovery Model in all interactions with members.
  • The Recovery Model emphasizes hope, member responsibility, peer support, respect, empathy, non-stigmatizing language, empowerment, using members' strengths, and self-determination.
