Position Overview:

As an Intake Screener, you will play a crucial role in our organization by screening intake details through telephone or face-to-face interactions with callers and clients. Your responsibilities include acting as a helpful resource, gathering necessary information, inputting data into the electronic medical record, and providing updates throughout the screening process.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Secure client information with professionalism and empathy.
  • Enter client information and screening details accurately into our electronic medical records system.
  • Maintain communication with referral sources and coordinate client appointments.
  • Record necessary statistics as outlined by the Agency.
  • Demonstrate exceptional multitasking abilities and maintain a consistently professional demeanor.
  • Stay knowledgeable about community resources to provide alternatives when needed.

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to draw valid conclusions.
  • A passion for helping individuals with behavioral health and/or substance use disorders.
  • Proficiency in computer software for accurate data entry.
  • Familiarity with standard office equipment.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and respect for confidentiality.

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Certification as a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA), Registered Assistant (RA), or Prevention specialist.
