Fiber Tech is responsible for terminating and testing fiber optic networks, including aerial, underground, and ISP networks, according to engineered drawings.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and splicing all cables, enclosures, and racks.
- OTDR testing, power meter, and identifying and labeling cables and terms.
- Providing and updating ongoing project tracking information and production sheets.
- They are also responsible for placing fiber through conduits according to engineering drawings.
Skills/Requirements
- Basic fiber splicing skills
- Leadership
- Problem-solving
- Detail-oriented
- Team-oriented
- Microsoft Office, Google Sheets
- Must be able to lift over 75 lbs.
- Adaptable
