Role: Scientific Literature Specialist
Work Location: Richmond, VA

Job Type: Contract

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Assist with coordination, project management and tracking vendors accountable for developing scientific literature summaries, evidence tables or related materials within a fixed project timeline.
2) Conduct preliminary scientific review of third-party deliverables (scientific literature summaries, evidence tables or related appendices) in collaboration with resources or contractors.
3) Integrate and communicate SME feedback on deliverables to revise and finalize deliverables in conjunction with resources and external third-party vendors.
4) Provide regulatory application submission support and other technical writing ad hoc requests, as needed.
5) Assist with the preparation of scientific literature deliverables, including article review, data extraction and coding in a relational database
• Project management
• Experience in the life sciences and with a breadth of scientific disciplines (such as Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology, Behavioral Science, or related fields)
• Willingness to learn and quickly grasp new scientific disciplines, literature, & concepts
• Capable of understanding and synthesizing diverse scientific literature
• Capable of conducting reviews (content, quality, completeness) of third-party generated deliverables related to scientific literature
• Capable of meeting fast-moving timelines and urgent deadlines using outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Experience working with relational databases or similar systems, including information workflows to facilitate scientific article review and related data extraction.
• Proficiency with MS excel and MS word, experience with macros a plus
