What you will be doing
The Cashier handles all on-site payment transactions for all departments within the dealership.
What you need to succeed (Skills)
- Accepts cash, credit card and open account payments for all parts invoices and repair orders.
- Works with Counter staff and Service Advisors to ensure accurate and complete payment.
- Issues credit memos for parts and core returns under guidance from the Parts Manager.
- Matches all parts invoices to ensure payment types; CC/Check or open account match.
- Responsible for petty cash /change drawer by completing daily reconciliation and hand-off for pre & post shifts.
- Processes all daily transaction sheets and submits to accounting on a daily basis.
- Maintains physical security of all cash during the assigned shift.
- Provides invoice copies as requested by customers.
- Process credit card deposits for the vehicle sales department as requested.
- Assists with Accounts Payable functions as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or required experience:
- High school diplomas or general education degree.
- 1 year of related or industry experience.
