Job Title: Valet Parking Coordinator

location : Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Dayton, OH 45428

Job Type : Full-time

Hours of Operations : From 7:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Assess the current parking situation at the VA Medical Center and develop a comprehensive valet parking plan.
  • Operate from the hospital Main entrance driveway and offer valet parking services to Veteran patients and patient visitors.
  • Park and/or provide assistance in parking vehicles for Veteran patients and patient visitors.
  • Stop vehicles requiring valet parking and request patient identification (VA Patient Data Card with photo) and estimated time of departure.
  • Secure drivers' keys at the valet booth.
  • Maintain parking control and monitoring in designated parking lots, promptly responding to alerts, emergencies, and providing assistance to injured or stranded persons.
  • Ensure sufficient staffing levels to meet the needs of the VA, considering fluctuating vehicle quantities during the contract period.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in providing valet parking services, preferably in a medical or healthcare facility.
  • Knowledge of parking control and monitoring procedures.
  • Ability to handle and secure keys, issue claim checks, and maintain the security of parked vehicles.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with Veteran patients and patient visitors.
