Nature of Work
This general accounting position functions in an energetic, high-volume, and detail-oriented environment. This position works alongside other accounting team members with tasks specific to the accounting of a rental property management company.
Illustrative Tasks
- Cross-train department functions. For example: record daily accounting data in an accurate and timely manner, preparation of summary reports of accounting activity.
- Fulfill accounting and clerical duties that support the organizations financial documentation.
- Assist with tasks necessary to accomplish the required department work output as deemed necessary.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills
- Strong understanding of accounting terms.
- Ability to communicate regularly and clearly in oral and written form.
- Ability and desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and intense environment.
- Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks software, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Excel.
- Ability to work in multiple systems simultaneously.
- Ability to analyze situations from a fiduciary perspective.
- Adaptive to technological changes.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Initiative.
- Discretion.
Desired Experience and Training
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 3 years relevant accounting experience.
- Rental property management experience is a plus but not required.
