We have a 1st Shift Material Handler, Located in Portland OR.

Summary:

Handling and maintaining inventory according to production demand by using inventory software to effectively complete tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify existing parts and efficiently pull new parts according to production orders, ensuring smooth production flow.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels by recording all transactions in the inventory computer system. (BPCS)
  • Perform daily inventory cycle counts and restock Kanban bins.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to immediate material requests from production lines.
  • Operate various types of Forklift to safely move material around plant.
  • Follow all established Standard Work instructions to ensure efficient and consistent processes.
  • Report to department supervisor and initiate action to prevent occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process and quality system.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Perform other related operations required or directed. May work at different work stations as production needs require.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in using inventory control software, Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel), and ability to check and respond to emails effectively.
  • Forklift Experience is a plus, must be willing to learn safe Forklift operations.
  • Basic understanding of material handling and inventory control principles and practices.
  • Keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in picking, stocking, and data entry.
  • Reliable, and committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Work Environment/Physical demand:

This is a fast-paced and hands-on Warehouse in a manufacturing setting. This job requires employees to stand for 8-10 hours. The environment on the shop floor is usually loud, hot and humid in the summer months and involves standing on cement floors with exposure to chemicals and metal particles. PPE always required on manufacturing floor.

Shift: ,

1st Shift: 7am-3:30PM Monday -Friday. This Job may require daily, or weekend hours as needed.
