Overall Purpose

The primary function of this position is to facilitate the process of recovery to the spiritual, mental/emotional and physical person through counseling and teaching. This holistic approach to recovery from addictive behaviors complies with the State of New Jersey drug rehabilitation program mandates and is in accordance with the Good News Home program.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate groups daily and conduct weekly individual counseling sessions
  • Develop collaborative treatment plans with clients
  • Attend and participate in weekly clinical team meetings
  • Provide case management services, including linkage to community resources and referrals to alternate levels of care
  • Maintain case histories and progress reports through Electronic Health Records (EHR)


Requirements:
  • Ability to create and maintain strong therapeutic alliances with clients
  • Knowledge of co-occurring and trauma-informed care
  • Proficiency with NJSAMS preferred; further training to be provided upon hire
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • CADC Intern (currently enrolled in CADC coursework)
