The Big Task

The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for company purchase order process, material return process, warranty coordination, inventory fill rates, demand vs. supply balance, and pricebook maintenance..



Key Sub Tasks

  • Place purchase orders with suppliers with digital purchase orders
  • Manage materials returns process with digital returns
  • Ensure purchase order prices match invoices for reconciliation
  • Optimize parts request process
  • Track and follow up on backorders and items in shipping limbo
  • Coordinate the receipt and shipping of all goods to maintain service metrics
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure no stock outs and communicate items at risk
  • Forecast inventory needs by reviewing stock levels and SKU performance
  • Buyback program for excess inventory, as needed
  • Work with vendors to create consignment parts/equipment relationships as needed
  • Maintain price book to ensure its updated with current material costs
  • Manage relationships with all vendors for negotiation of price and to ensure excellent service
  • Have a technical understanding of the products
  • Collaborate with service, install, operations, accounting, and customer service teams
  • Be the warranty champion and own the process
  • Help as needed with other warehouse tasks


Desired Skills and Experience

  • General accounting concept knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
  • Self-starter/resourceful - able to independently work, learn & plan with minimal guidance to drive tasks to conclusion
  • Capable of learning on the fly with a focus on problem-solving
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when dealing with data
  • Proven supply chain management experience
  • Motivated, takes initiative and possess strong work ethic
  • Ability to multitask within a structured environment
