Salon coordinator is an extremely important role in the salon. The reason this position is not referred to as front desk is that you contribute to all aspects of the salon on a daily basis. At times you will have a greater number of interactions with a guest than even their stylist. You are the first to greet them and the last to say goodbye. So much of the quality of our service comes down to you You also play a huge part in the support of our team behind the scenes. You will ensure all aspects of the salon flow seamlessly on a day to day basis. This includes but is not limited to: Guest satisfaction, retention, take home recommendations, overseeing stylist productivity, supporting stylists as needed, maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of salon throughout the day, maintaining inventory, knowing current deals and promotions, promptly returning all voicemail, emails and social media messages. You will be a valuable contributor to the reputation and marketing of Salon Halo. Always proactively looking for opportunities to help the salon reach its goals.

- Tending to the needs of all guests and potential new guests while striving to exceed expectations.
- The ability to proactively recognize and solve challenges throughout the salon on a daily basis
- Oversee and support the cleanliness of the salon at all times.
- To support stylists in their day to day functions as well as hold them accountable for their responsibilities and adherence to policy.
- Maximizing the salons potential productivity.
- Have reliable transportation.
- A great attitude and willingness to be coached.
- Attend community functions, fundraisers, and marketing opportunities.
- Participation in on-going Education to continuously improve knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Present the appropriate Salon Halo image and attitude at all times.
- The ability to handle many tasks at once.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in typing and basic computer skills.
- Excellent Phone and people skills.
Job Accountabilities
- Track and monitor attainment toward Business Goals.
- Proactively work to support the salon in reaching goals.
- Actively work with each guest to maximize their visit; This would include the use of thorough consultation to determine appropriate services to be booked, recommending any potentially desirable services to individual, explanation of salon practices and levels to best determine appropriate stylist, and understanding of products and take home to continue guest support recommendations
- Support the stylists in the two minute plan
- Make Guest confirmation calls 48 to 72 hours in advance of their appt.
- Answer phone always using script provided
- Greet all Guests immediately upon entering the Salon/Spa
- Ask if you may provide guest with beverage (coffee, tea, water, wine) and swatch book or ipad with instagram upon greeting them
- Inform guests of robes upon arrival
- Rescheduling No Shows within 15 minutes of appointment time
- Perform new guest Thank You calls and guest satisfaction surveys weekly
- Remaining professional with guests, stylists, and apprentices
- Proactively maintaining the cleanliness and order of the salon at all times as listed on daily task sheet
- Delegation of responsibilities, and to hold stylists/apprentices accountable to salon policy and procedure standards daily
- Being sure that all duties are signed off on before stylists leave and correcting any tasks that were left undone before leaving.
- Reporting any challenges or incidents to management within 24 hours
- Managing register and transactions
- Full understanding of Phorest Software
- Attendance at salon meetings
- Contribute to maintenance of salon inventory.
- Create enticing displays and seasonal promotions
- Create order based on inventory and budget
- Send order to distributor upon completion
- Count total inventory at the beginning of quarter
- Prepare bank deposits
- Make bank deposits as needed
- Receive orders into inventory, price and stock accordingly
