Job DescriptionJob Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administer the monthly close process
  • Maintain the fixed asset and depreciation schedules
  • Generate draft financial statements for review
  • Post journal entries and review entries of junior staff, including reviewing cash receipts and accounts payables
  • Perform monthly estimates and accruals
  • Reconciles daily cash using the GP accounting system
  • Work closely with outside accountants to ensure the timely filing and payment of all tax returns
  • Assist in annual audit preparation
  • Create and distribute monthly reporting, including dashboards and other monthly reporting analysis
  • Support and/or lead projects across multiple functional areas
  • Cross train and coverage as required, including billing and contracting
  • Maintain accounting policies in compliance with GAAP and up-to-date written procedures for all accounting and finance functions
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Required Skills:

  • Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and accounting software packages
  • Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems, desire to take on advanced tasks
  • Detail oriented, ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial information to senior leadership
  • Ability to understand business activities with a broader view than just the finance function
  • Desire to learn about the industry and support the goals of the organization

Education and Experience Required:

  • BS in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years of accounting or finance experience
  • CPA preferred but not required
