Welcome MAT Health was founded with a commitment to providing compassionate and evidence-based treatment for individuals struggling with substance use disorders. The program firmly believes that substance use disorders are a complex medical condition that requires a holistic approach, and MAT is a key component of their treatment strategy.

Job purpose: The purpose of the part-time nurse is to dispense medication to the patient population and maintain documentation in patient records and clinic logs on a daily basis.

Reports to: Nursing Supervisor, Director of Nursing

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain professional standards and follow the treatment policies of the clinic, federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Assist the program director in completing performance evaluations according to organizational policies.
  • Administer methadone or Buprenorphine medication as ordered by the clinic medical director.
  • Maintain accurate accounting of all medication received from the supplier.
  • Dispense medication to the patient.
  • Collect urine, process, and read test results as ordered by the medical director.
  • Maintain safe storage of all medication stock and records as required by the DEA, FDA, and ADP.

Requirements

  • Must be a licensed practical nurse (LPN) within the state of North Carolina.
  • Have training or experience treating patients in an outpatient treatment program.
  • Demonstrable history of no alcohol or drug/medication misuse for a period of five (5) years prior to employment.
  • The perspective individual will not display any evidence of alcohol or drug/medication misuse and/or unlawful behavior as an employee of Welcome MAT Health.

Welcome MAT Health offers competitive hourly pay from $25-$35/hour.
