Metal Grinder (2nd or 3rd Shift)

Pay: $16-18/hr.

Shift:

  • 3pm to 11pm (Mon - Fri)
  • 11pm to 7am (Mon - Fri)

Description:

  • The Metal Grinder will perform a variety of physical labor tasks in the shop.

Requirements:

  • Previous labor experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to stand, lift, bend, twist, walk, stoop, and use hands
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment

Job Duties:

  • Utilizing measuring equipment calculations, and machines to ensure that the product has met all specifications, while meeting customer needs and expectations with quality.
  • Operate a wide variety of hand and power tools.
  • Closely follows directions to operate machinery, hold or supply materials and tools, and load or unload items on machinery and assembly lines, as well as assemble metal fabricated parts on assembly lines.
  • Cleans and maintains a manufacturing area free from debris and dirt, and readies or puts away tools as assigned. Performs miscellaneous jobs at the plant, as needed.
  • May be trained to act as forklift operator when normal operator is out.
  • Reports any issues to supervisor or higher-level employee.
