This position is located at Raleigh Radiology’s Business Support Office location, may require travel to any Raleigh Radiology location, or may be remote. Raleigh Radiology’s IT Systems Administrator is responsible for serving as an initial point of contact for triaging, then resolving internal user or radiologist non-clinical requests as well as providing white-glove experience daily. The IT Systems Administrator will assist with these requests while following documented policies and procedures to effectively resolve the issue in accordance with our standard escalation processes either remotely or onsite with our Staff. The IT Systems Administrator reports to the Executive Director of IT.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver excellent and professional service experience in all interactions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design, plan, and implement robust IT infrastructure solutions.
  • Architect and deploy server, storage, and virtualization technologies to meet the organization's requirements for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Ensure adherence to industry best practices and compliance standards in all infrastructure designs.
  • Perform day-to-day administration of servers, storage systems, network devices, and virtualization platforms.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and data from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
  • Monitor resource utilization trends and forecast future capacity requirements.
  • Plan and execute upgrades, expansions, and migrations to accommodate growth and changing business needs.
  • Optimize resource allocation to achieve a balance between performance, cost, and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies to protect critical data and ensure business continuity.
  • Regularly test backup and recovery procedures to verify their effectiveness and reliability.
  • Document and update recovery plans to reflect changes in the IT environment.
  • Provide advanced technical support to resolve complex issues escalated from junior administrators or end-users.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems, implementing timely solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Participate in on-call rotation schedules to provide 24/7 support for critical infrastructure systems.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with team members through training sessions, mentorship, and collaborative projects.
  • Contribute to the development of standardized processes and procedures to improve efficiency and consistency across the IT department.
  • Evaluate new technologies, products, and services to assess their suitability for adoption within the organization.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers to maintain hardware, software, and support contracts.
  • Leverage vendor relationships to ensure compliance with service level agreements.


Requirements:
