Object Construction is seeking a reliable and experienced driver to operate a 16ft stake bed truck. The driver will be responsible for transporting materials, equipment, and supplies to various job sites across Los Angeles and Long Beach Area. This position requires a high level of professionalism, safety awareness, and a clean driving record.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a 16ft stake bed truck for material deliveries across California.
  • Load, secure, and unload materials, ensuring proper handling and safety at all times.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks before and after each trip.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
  • Maintain accurate logs of trips, including mileage, delivery times, and any incidents.
  • Assist with loading and unloading as needed; must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and site managers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • May be asked to assist in other duties as business needs arise

Qualifications:

  • License Requirements: A valid California driver’s license (Class C) is required. Since the truck’s Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) is under 26,000 lbs, a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is not required for this vehicle. However, previous experience with vehicles of similar size is essential.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience operating a 16ft truck or larger is required.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Driving Record: A clean driving record is mandatory; candidates will be subject to a background check.
  • Other Requirements: Familiarity with California Department of Transportation regulations and a strong commitment to safety.
