Position Summary: The HR Generalist position will play a key role in the success of the organization by executing a dual role in the company. The ideal candidate will have a combination of education and experience, as well as an interest in, both Human Resources and Marketing. Responsible for incorporating best practices in developing, implementing and executing on recruitment, hiring, compensation, employee onboarding, terminations, performance management and employee relations. S/he will communicate a continuous improvement and growth mindset and possess strong ability to interface with and successfully influence others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Stewards the brand exemplifying the mission and values while growing and protecting the reputation of GDB. Responsible for building trust with employees, partners and customers.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, hiring and staffing processes. Create job descriptions and recruitment plans in collaboration with marketing, manage and participate in interviews, oversee hiring process. Coach hiring managers on established process and best practices.
- Support compensation function including establishing compensation and commission levels, tracking modifications and adjustments, maintaining compensation records, performing internal equity analysis, and making recommendations to changes, etc.
- Consult with employees and leadership on personnel matters and workplace issues, conduct investigations, assist in ensuring timely resolution and coach leaders on best practices.
- Participate in organizational development activities such as leadership and all-employee training, culture and change initiatives and employee satisfaction surveys. Make recommendations to improve and ensure a vibrant culture and good work environment.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of personnel policies and procedures; maintain knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements, best practices and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources.
- Suggest new procedures and policies for improving employee experience as well as efficiency.
- Perform administrative tasks for smooth new-hire onboarding and orientation process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first day and beyond experience.
- Manage full-cycle voluntary and involuntary termination processes. Oversee termination checklist, documentation and perform exit interviews. Coach managers on established process and best practices.
- Effectively manage employee leaves of absence, including Family Medical Leave, Military Leave, Short Term Disability and Personal Leave.
- Provide support including answering general employee questions, employee file maintenance, unemployment claims and employment verifications.
- Oversee company events and monthly all company meetings.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or similar field; education or experience in Marketing a plus
- Demonstrated progressive experience minimum three years in HR; experience with over 50 employee company size a plus
- PHR and/or SHRM-CP professional certifications a plus
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with Buildertrend, Smartsheets, BambooHR and/or other like software a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and have high integrity and maintain trust across the organization at all levels.
- High aptitude for data-driven strategy with experience in survey and measurement tools.
- Strong organizational, project and time management skills with the ability to shift priorities and deal with changing demands in an effective manner.
- Solid ability to build relationships, to motivate, negotiate and persuade diverse groups and individuals.
- Ability to manage conflict and crisis management.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills to connect with diverse audiences.
- Strong work ethic and accountability with positive attitude open to teamwork. High energy and sense of humor.
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance and reliable mode of transportation. Ability to travel locally.
