Dave Carter & Associates is a multi-line national distributor to multiple industries including manufactured housing, modular builders, recreational vehicles, commercial construction, cargo trailers and specialty vehicle industries. Incorporated in September of 1978 as a distributor in the Southeastern United States, Dave Carter & Associates grew into a national distributor within the next five years. Currently Dave Carter & Associates has 11 distribution centers that serve all of the United States and Canada with our international division focusing on handling imports & exports. We are a leader and dominate supplier in the products we sell, with a large market share in most products to the a forementioned industries. SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Sourcing Agent for Dave Carter & Associates, you will be responsible for supporting company objectives for value-driven supplier partnerships, focusing on risk management, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Identify and support new opportunities for sourcing, product development, and pricing of assigned product categories. Participate in supplier negotiations and contract preparation. Use ERP system and other software tools to manage processes, create efficiencies and control costs. You will have the opportunity to develop, optimize, and leverage supplier relationships.

Responsibilities:

· Manage assigned product categories to include product sourcing, evaluation to ensure both product and packaging are made to DCA specification.

· Provide support and recommend solutions for assigned product application challenges.

· Lead cross-functional teams through complete-cycle sourcing projects, including project planning & management, analysis & sourcing strategy development, supplier evaluation & selection, contract negotiation, and implementation.

· You will lead the sourcing processes including commodity-based RFPs, negotiations, agreements, vendor management and full P2P cycle for assigned product categories.

· Identify cost reduction opportunities and facilitate their implementation, including leading the negotiating efforts with suppliers, improve packaging and material handling solutions, ultimately contributing to savings and profitability targets.

· Deliver relevant, accurate and timely market insights to aid decision making.

· Efficiently manage workload and conflicting priorities, often working independently.

· Communicate direction, and lead negotiations with all levels of supplier management to develop and deploy appropriate strategies, contracts, and business relationships that satisfy current and future business needs.

· Establishing supplier owned and/or managed inventory to support inventory reduction goals.

· Audit supplier facilities and submit corrective action requests to poor performing suppliers as needed.

· Maintain applicable commodity schedule alignment to product development timelines to ensure reduced time to market with new products.

· Conduct category, industry, and supplier market research.

Qualifications

· Must be 18yrs+

·The ability to pass a background check & Pre-employment drug screen

· Authorized to work in the United States

·Bachelor's  Degree from an accredited institution.

· 4+ years strategic sourcing, and/or product management experience

· 4+ years managing suppliers to include, purchasing, and negotiation.

· Strong influencing skills with ability to see issues from multiple viewpoints and understand differing needs of stakeholders.

· Ability to develop strategies and solutions that incorporate insights from multiple functions from definition through to implementation (preferred)

· Must be proficient in a Windows PC environment.

· Working knowledge of RV and / or MH production a plus.

· Working knowledge of building products a plus.

· CPM, APICS, CPSM, or similar certifications a plus.

· Strong relationship, change management and/or project management skills.

· A team player, able to work across all functions and levels of an organization, in a global, culturally diverse environment.

· In-depth understanding of Procurement policies and procedures and their application to the processing of purchasing transactions

· Willingness to travel 20-40%
