Job Description:  

Southern Integrated Solutions and Consulting (SISC) is searching for a Process Controls Engineer. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong background in engineering disciplines and a deep understanding of control systems and automation technologies. They will have proficiency in programming and experience with process instrumentation and control strategies. Responsibilities:  

  • Performs process controls engineering tasks with direct oversight from senior engineers. 

  • Develop process controls execution strategies in conjunction with the overall project development team. 

  • Develop DCS/PLC/HMI programming. 

  • Attend studies and reviews such as HAZOP, LOPA, and Alarm Rationalization. 

  • Review SIL assessments and assist with SIL verifications. 

  • Participate in Control System Design reviews. 

  • Assist in Cyber Security aspects of the scope supply. 

  • Attend FAT & SAT for control systems at manufacturer on plant site. 

  • Participate in plant commissioning, validations, and startups. 

  • Work with project teams, Clients, and Suppliers to resolve technical issues. 

Qualifications:  

Education & Experience:  

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline. 

  • Entry level position in the oil and gas industry working as a process control engineer. 

  • Eligible to work in the US (United States) (Citizen or Green Card Holder) 

Hard Skills:  

  • Knowledge or ability to learn current automation technologies for DCS, SIS, FGS, including remote I/O for at least one platform. 

  • Knowledge or ability to learn industry standards for documentation, basics and complex regulatory control, loop turning, safety systems, DCS and PLC configuration required. 

  • Knowledge or ability to learn automation networking, with both fiber and copper media. 

  • Knowledge or ability to learn to inspect control systems both at factory and in field for adherence to project specifications. 

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). 

Soft Skills:  

  • Effective communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.  

  • High efficiency and time management skills.  

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with company, Suppliers, and Clients.
