Our State and Local Tax team is looking for a Sales Tax Senior Associate with a background in consulting. The Sales Tax Senior Associate will have the opportunity to work hybrid from our Plano, TX, Alpharetta or Atlanta, GA offices.

As a Sales Tax Senior, you will:

  • Provide strategic sales tax consulting services to clients, helping them navigate complex tax regulations and optimize tax savings.
  • Analyze clients’ business operations and transactions to identify sales and use tax implications and opportunities.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies that align with clients' business goals.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive tax reports and recommendations to clients.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure compliance with sales tax laws and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough research on tax laws to identify exemptions and potential tax savings opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, tax authorities, and vendors to resolve tax-related issues.

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and understand the importance of providing the highest level of service to clients.
  • Organizational skills, with the ability to be detail oriented and thoroughly verify work for completeness and accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Access is a plus. Accounts payable experience is required.
  • Able to travel approximately 30% with overnight travel.

The salary range for this position is $71,820 to $134,000. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
