Job Title: Associate Attorney
Location: Stuart, Florida
Position Type: Full-time, in-person with potential growth to a hybrid model.
Salary: $100,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join our dynamic team. This role requires a professional who can effectively work as part of a team as well as manage an individual caseload with autonomy. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering excellent results for clients through intelligent and aggressive advocacy. We value exceptional work ethic, high motivation, and a positive attitude that resonates well with various personalities. Leadership, excellent oral advocacy, thorough writing skills, and adept negotiation abilities are key qualities for this position.
Qualifications:
- A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school in the United States.
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Florida and good standing with The Florida Bar.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in business law and commercial litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a substantial caseload from inception to settlement or case conclusion.
- Handle the drafting and filing of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and memoranda, along with conducting necessary legal research.
- Attend and prepare for depositions, court hearings, and trials as required.
- Serve as the principal contact between the firm and clients, developing effective strategies and providing counsel on their best interests.
- Independently handle case decision-making and consult regularly with clients and other relevant parties.
- Provide leadership and direction to paralegals and legal assistants, including developing collaborative strategies.
- Develop and implement a business development plan, including attending networking events, writing articles, and participating in speaking engagements.
- Participate in regular meetings with the Managing Partner to discuss case statuses, workload, and other firm-related matters.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with the firm's current and prospective clients.
- Engage in monthly case reviews and ensure effective communication with clients and relevant parties.
- Analyze legal issues specific to each case and maintain a high standard of advisement for clients.
