Electrical Estimator

Martineau Electric Inc. is an Employee Stock Owned company which has been supplying quality commercial, industrial, and hospitality electrical service to the clients in New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts since 1984. As technology and commercial infrastructure continues to evolve, so do our electricians and the services we provide.

We are in search of a talented and motivated electrical Estimator with experience on commercial and industrial projects. Your role will be responsible for estimating and bidding projects and to work with our team of estimators and project managers to provide accurate electrical estimates.

Job Summary: Responsible for preparing and completing bid documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects independently and through collaboration. Controls construction costs by collecting and studying information, evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring they know what is required to successfully bid and win the project. Managing team and participates monitoring company results.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
  • Must pass background & drug screens
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical estimating
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Construction Technology; or comparable experience in lieu of formal education
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience with McCormick estimating or similar estimating software
  • Possess written and verbal communication skills to communicate with vendors, clients, employees and management
  • Proven experience managing priorities as workload, deadlines and circumstances change
  • Experience working effectively as part of a team
  • Advanced knowledge of blueprints, specifications, and proposals
  • Project management experience is a plus
