Oakwood Veneer is seeking the addition of an Production Associates to join our Troy, Michigan team.

Previous Manufacturing or similar food service experience a plus.

Experience or Interest in Woodworking or Woodshop a plus

If you have a GED or High school diploma, the ability to lift 30 lbs., and desire a career that is very rewarding, this is a job opportunity you should explore Candidates must be able to pass a drug screen.

Must have a reliable source of transportation. Attendance is a high priority

  • Why you should join the Oakwood Veneer team:

    • Great Pay: Effective Hourly Rate of $16.75. Base rate of $15.75/hour, plus $40 weekly attendance bonus for working full 40 hours on the clock.
    • Amazing Hours: Stable and consistent day shift with great hours of 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (7am shift start times are available). 7am shift times are possible depending on availability.
    • No Nights or Weekends Required
    • Double-time Sunday 4-5 hour Morning Shifts available

This position encompasses a variety of roles and requires you to be a process driven, detail-oriented, and the ability to produce results. If you have a passion for organization, experience in a wood shop or machine shop and the ability to learn a variety of Machines and wood species this job is for you This job position is a full time 40 hours a week plus minimal overtime as required. 8 hour shift start time at 9am - Monday through Friday. The factory is located in Troy, Michigan. Close to I-75 & between 15 and 16 mile road.

  • Job Qualifications

    • Ability to safely lift 30lbs
    • Ability to remain mostly stationary with repetitive motions
    • Strong oral communication skills
    • Relevant Machine shop or wood shop experience or ability to learn on job
    • Adaptability
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently and with a team
    • Ability to lean many different machines safely and competently
    • Ability to learn hundreds of different wood species and grades

About Oakwood Veneer
Oakwood Veneer Company is an established manufacturer and distributor in Troy, Michigan. We're a small team under 50 where everyone's voice is heard, we value teamwork, and we are like a family here.

We make veneer panels and also do a lot of custom work. Anything you see that has wood on it, -from kitchens to bathrooms, from homes to yachts, from cars to cell phones - we can make the veneer for it.
