Fitter/Fabricator - Day Shift

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter/Fabricator to join our team for the day shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication, with expertise in reading blueprints, operating fabrication equipment, and assembling metal components to precise specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Measure, cut, and shape metal components using hand and power tools, including saws, grinders, and cutting torches.
- Weld and fabricate metal structures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
- Assemble fabricated components according to project specifications, using welding, bolting, or riveting techniques.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and project requirements.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet production deadlines.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance on fabrication equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in metal fabrication techniques and technologies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Fitter/Fabricator in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, including welding, cutting, and assembly.
- Experience operating fabrication equipment such as saws, grinders, and welding machines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols related to metal fabrication.
- Welding certification (e.g., AWS) preferred but not required.
