Position Summary:

As a Heavy Equipment Operator on the DTG Recycle Team, you will be part of a community of valued employees who work together and create an environment that is welcoming, caring and trusting. Essential Job Functions:

  • Performs inspections at the beginning and end of the shift
  • Operating front end loader and/or excavator safely and proficiently
  • Performing light maintenance on equipment
  • Sizing large steel and concrete for further processing in our recycling operations
  • Visually screen construction and demolition debris for unacceptable materials
  • Identify unacceptable material on incoming loads
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively with truck drivers on where to offload incoming material
  • Direct inbound loads to the tipping floor
  • Assist co-workers with heavy items.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness of the facility and general housekeeping
  • Availability to work occasional Saturdays
  • Other job duties will be added as needed

Required Experience:

  • Experience with operating excavators or front-end loaders
  • Clean driving record and background
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, bend, stoop, climb, etc. for extended periods of time
  • Working outside under all types of weather conditions
