Summary:

 

  • Responsible for actively walking the assigned area in the dining room providing service to guests.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Greets guests as they dine, take orders, provide drinks and service to them in a timely manner.
  • Accurately operate computer to generate guest checks.
  • Maintain sanitation standards at wait staff work area and drink station.
  • Records and accounts for all moneys collected as tips.
  • Maintains adequate supply of condiments, utensils, cups, and napkins at drink stations.
  • Monitors water, coffee and soft drinks levels at drink station, changes water, coffee or soft drink boxes as needed.
  • Monitors ice level at the drink station and fill ice bin if necessary.
  • Maintain awareness of casino promotions and events and capable of answering guests questions.
  • Bus tables in assigned area and others as needed to keep up the pace.
  • Clean and reset tables for next guest to be seated.
  • Clean and vacuum dining room floor as needed or assigned.
  • Clean tables, chairs, walls and mirrors as needed or assigned by supervisor or when scheduled.
  • Monitors and maintains drink station in the Employee Dining Room and on the second floor when not as busy or as needed.
  • Maintains cleanliness of Employee Dining Room including cleaning tables, sweeping and mopping and restocking supplies when not busy or as needed.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Dining Room Supervisor or Management.
  • To attend all meetings and/or training sessions. All meetings and training sessions are considered mandatory.

 

Education and/or Experience:

 

  • GED or High School Diploma preferred, but not required

 

Special Skills/Experience:

           

  • Must have good communication skills, able to work calmly and professionally under stress.
  • Must be able to tolerate secondary smoke, bright lights, high noise levels.
  • Excellent vision including peripheral vision for guest safety.
  • Must report to work on time, perform duties as assigned and keep up with fast paced business practices.
  • Must be able to maneuver in crowded areas of the dining room and walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
  • Effectively presentation of food orders and drinks to guests.
  • Must be able to monitor work area and drink station and accurately inform supervisor of any safety issues.
  • Must be able to properly handle food, drink trays, utensils, plates, pitchers, and glasses at all time.
