Job Description

Intermediate I&E Technician in the upstream and midstream oil & gas industry. This position will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, programming and repairing air compressor systems used in various operations within the industry. These systems are crucial for providing compressed air, which is utilized for a wide range of applications such as pneumatic tools, control systems, and instrument air.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Installation: Installing new air compressor systems or upgrading existing ones to meet the operational requirements of the facility.

  • Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting air compressor components to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with air compressor systems, including identifying leaks, pressure fluctuations, or mechanical failures.

  • Repair: Conducting repairs on faulty components or systems to restore them to proper working condition. This may involve replacing worn-out parts, repairing leaks, or recalibrating controls.

  • Calibration: Calibrating pressure gauges, valves, and other instrumentation to ensure accurate measurement and control of compressed air output.

  • Safety Compliance: Ensuring that air compressor systems comply with safety regulations and standards to prevent accidents and minimize risks to personnel and equipment.

  • Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections performed on air compressor systems for compliance, analysis, and future reference.

  • Training: Providing training and guidance to other personnel on the proper operation, maintenance, and safety procedures related to air compressor systems.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2-3 years air compressor experience
  • Mechanical skill set
  • Pneumatic diagnostic, maintenance, repair, and automation knowledge preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of tools and equipment
  • Strong work ethic and ability to operate with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work well with others and effectively communicate in a team environment to accomplish customer and team goals

Required Education

  • High School Diploma
  • Must speak, read, and write English Fluently
  • Preferred 2-year technical college education
