The Silvergate has an immediate opening for a motivated and customer-focused Leasing Agent to join our team Our beautiful newly built property is located near the heart of Brentwood with 166 stunning units, and picturesque views of Mt. Diablo. The ideal hire will have recent leasing experience, preferably at a newly constructed apartment complex. at least 1 year of experience in a similar sales-related role, preferably within Residential Property Management.

 

As a Leasing Agent, you will be the face of our Community to Residents and Prospective Residents, giving you the opportunity to demonstrate and sharpen your skills. You will also have the opportunity to gain valuable Property Management experience, as this position assists with all aspects of our daily operations. Candidates must be reliable, personable, and motivated to succeed. 

 

This is a part-time position that requires weekend work.  Hours are 20-25 hours/week with one workday being Saturday. The position is temporary, and we anticipate the duration of the job to last approximately 4 to 6 months.  However, it is possible the position could grow into a more permanent (or even full-time) role, based on business needs.

Essential Functions:

 

  • Tour available Apartment Homes
  • Provide exceptional customer service to current and potential Residents
  • Set up Clubhouse, Model and check touring Path daily
  • Secure lease agreements from qualified persons
  • Properly process rental Applications
  • Answer phone inquiries from prospective tenants and convert phone inquiries into Property tours
  • Track all stages of incoming leads and report results daily to Community Manager
  • Some physical activity which includes daily property walks and other light maintenance 
  • Provide accurate information about each apartment home
  • Utilize Property Management software for daily tasks
  • Conduct Inspections as needed for Move ins/Move outs
  • Assist with Property beautification as needed
  • Report to on-site Community Manager

 

Position Requirements:

 

  • Weekends required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in residential property management, required
  • Prior lease-up experience, highly preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Highschool diploma or equivalency, certificate required
  • Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Google Apps, property management-related software, email, internet, social media)
  • Must pass a company provided background screening.
