Job DescriptionJob Description Millwright Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Repair & replace chains, conveyors, gear box, drive train, hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Use power tools & hand tools
  • Welding
  • Fabricate parts
  • File reports
  • Maintain proper maintenance logs
  • Ability to read blueprints & sketches proficiently to fabricate equipment and make modifications.
  • Troubleshooting, repair, assembly, preventive maintenance
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • 2 - 5 years of experience in Industrial Environment Maintenance in a Sawmill is desirable
  • Excellent reading and writing skills
  • Experience in stationary equipment used to process lumber
  • Work in a team environment in a safe & productive manner
  • Have the ability to troubleshoot
  • Previous sawmill experience and welding certification is an asset
  • Proficiency in hydraulic & pneumatic troubleshooting required
  • Needs to have strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work shift work, long hours and weekends as needed
  • Work with a team or independently
