Part-Time – Fleet Mechanic

ABOUT the ROLE:

This part-time position of approximately 30 hours per week, will be the responsibility of the lead mechanic, and will perform intermediate skilled work maintaining and repairing a variety of automotive and grounds equipment.

This is done by holding themselves and their teammates accountable for taking our best practices “the last mile” – optimizing them for maximum value to all of our stakeholders while sharing insights on how to improve our company. The ideal candidate will also be a productive and proactive self-starter who is passionate about his/her duties and willing to put forth the extra effort to achieve excellence.

Job Functions/Knowledge

  • Diagnose and perform general, preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Conduct and preform preventive maintenance service, oil changes, tire rotations, etc.
  • Trouble shoot, identify and perform necessary repairs as needed on automotive/grounds equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and proper records of all repairs performed using our software (including parts records).
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
  • Monthly Safety Inspections.
  • Help maintain detailed repair work orders on the vehicles & equipment.
  • Welding experience & knowledge preferred but not required.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the shop areas.
  • Follow safety procedures when working at all times.
  • Able to operate a manual transmission
  • Performs related tasks as required.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical work
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of the methods, tools, & equipment used in mechanical repairs
  • Knowledge of asset management software
  • Able to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Good time management
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Reaching, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, carrying, as part of daily activities more than 8 hours per day
  • Availability to work between 7am – 3:30pm & extended hours on Event weekends as needed
  • Successfully complete Background Check and Drug Test
