Job Title: Jewish Rabbi

Location: Killen, Texas

Duties:

  • Shall provide non-personal services normally performed by a Jewish Rabbi to include worship services and ministrations, high holy days and special services, funeral support, and religious education
  • Weekly Jewish Services.
  • High Holy Days (Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur) and Special Services (Hanukkah, Pesach, Sukkot, Shavuot, and Passover Seder Dinners).
  • Ministrations for Jewish Life Events (Marriage, Births, Funeral Support, Ministry to the Sick)
  • Support Religious Education.

Education & Qualifications:

    • Shall possess ecclesiastical endorsement from an authorized Jewish endorsing authority.
    • Shall provide certification of endorsement which identifies Jewish Rabbi’s ecclesiastical credentials.
    • Shall possess a baccalaureate degree with not less than 120 semester hours (180 quarter hours) from an accredited college, university, or school of theology listed in the current edition of the American Council on Education.
    • Shall possess a post-baccalaureate graduate degree in the field of theological or related studies from a qualifying educational institution. A qualifying graduate degree program shall require no fewer than 72 semester hours (108 quarter hours) of graduate-level work.
    • Shall provide a resume which demonstrates the following:
      • Narrative description.
      • Knowledge, training, and ability in the following areas: pastoral counseling, sermon preparation and delivery, Jewish law and theology, worship leadership, ministration, clinical ministry interventions, and marriage and family ministry.
      • Proficiency to read and write in English.
