PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This position is responsible for supervising the teller operations within the banking center and for coaching staff on products and
services.

MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB

  • Promptly and accurately handle lobby, drive-thru, night deposit, or bank-by-mail customer transactions including but not limited to deposits, withdraws, transfers, check cashing, certified check requests, loan payments, and maintenance requests according to Home Bank’s policies, procedures and federal and state compliance requirements
  • Cash handling, including but not limited to, counting, verifying and packaging of coins and currency, daily balancing of cash drawer, assisting with ATM balancing and replenishment
  • Process daily teller work thru “Branch Capture” ensuring debits and credits balance in accordance with established policies and guidelines
  • Provide comprehensive, prompt, and efficient customer service in all transactions while ensuring that all federal and state compliance requirements are met
  • Engage in conversations with customers in order to build relationships, determine financial needs and make recommendations and LOB referrals by performing the expected behaviors in the HOME sales model
  • Maintain a neat workstation and ensure that needed supplies are on hand and organized to present a professional environment
  • Assist Banking Center Manager in coaching staff on products and services in order to meet customer needs
  • Supervise teller operations, including but not limited to, training back up Head Teller, teller overrides, teller outage research, managing difficult customer conversations, teller and branch audits, cash ordering/shipments, ordering branch supplies.
  • Primary vault custodian (buy/sell cash to tellers, maintain sole control and vault security, count and balance the vault cash daily)
  • Be self-directed/motivated with the ability work independently or as part of a team with little to no direct supervision
  • Use good judgment and be discrete with confidential information
  • Demonstrate leadership and direction to teller/universal banker team and peers
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned by leadership
  • ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Customer service requests, including but not limited to, new account opening, safe deposit transactions, wire transfers, maintaining account records and paperwork, debit card issuance, assisting customers with inquiries and problems, and may accept loan applications as needed

WHAT WILL YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years or more of banking experience; previous teller experience preferred
  • Ability to work expected Banking Center hours of operation including some Saturday (based on Market and location)
  • Receive and maintain NMLS certification, as deemed necessary
