 Must have a thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities possess a general understanding of body treatments and be willing to train in our spa's specific massage offerings.


Excellent communication skills required  and must be able to learn the service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness solutions to meet the needs of the clients. 


ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform various types of massage, including Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, aromatherapy, and other specialized techniques. 
  • Ability to effectively alleviate acute pain through targeted massage techniques.
  •  Anatomy knowledge: Understanding of the structure and function of the human body, particularly the musculoskeletal system.
  •  Physiology knowledge: Familiarity with the physiological processes that occur in the body, including how they relate to massage therapy.
  • Medical terminology: Understanding of medical terms commonly used in the field of massage therapy.
  • Patient assessment: Ability to assess clients' conditions, identify areas of concern, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Deep tissue massage: Proficiency in applying firm pressure to release tension in deeper layers of muscle tissue. 
  • Customize massage treatments based on clients' individual needs and preferences.
  • Offer exceptional service by ensuring a comfortable and relaxing environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring a tranquil and inviting atmosphere for clients. 
  • Conduct thorough client consultations to assess their health history and specific requirements. 
  • Stay informed about current spa services and promotions to effectively promote to clients. 
  • Adhere to all spa policies and protocols, including maintaining client confidentiality and professionalism. 
  • Keep up-to-date records of client treatments, preferences, and progress. 
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing clients' concerns and ensuring a positive experience. 
  • Collaborate with other spa staff to create a seamless and enjoyable spa experience for clients. 
  • Uphold a high level of hygiene and sanitation in all aspects of the massage therapy area. 
  • Educate clients on the benefits of regular massage and recommend follow-up treatments. 


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Maintain all required licenses and certifications, complying with state and local regulations


Duties:

  •   Perform therapeutic massage techniques to address clients specific needs and preferences.
  •  Assess clients' conditions and create customized treatment plans.
  • Provide acute pain management and relief through various massage techniques.
  • Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to target specific muscle groups and alleviate tension.

Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience required

  • This is W-2 Employee position
  •  Full-Time Opportunity to be an integral part of a small but rapidly growing wellness studio

  • To give you an amazing and beautifully decorated wellness studio with spacious treatment rooms included heated lift tables, towel cabinets, and all necessary tools and supplies provided including clean linens.
  • 15 min cleanup breaks in between client appointments with assistance with cleanup with spa-coordinators. 
  • No laundry involved.
  • 2 week paid vacation for full-time employees. 


    • We are closed New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and follow Prescott Unified School District schedule for spring and fall break to allow staff to spend time with their families.

  • Free Far Infrared Sauna sessions/ Himalayan Salt Cave sessions. 
  • Paid Liability Insurance. 

Compensation:
Our compensation is outstanding and above industry standard with average earnings per service between $45 and $65 which includes base pay +Specialty Bonus +plus gratuity (60 Min Massage).

Training and Development:
We never stop improving at A Valley of Vitality The training we provide teaches you the proven and precise way we do things at A Valley of Vitality Wellness Studio, so you feel confident and knowledgeable in your role. But we go far beyond that as well, by giving you the skills you need to build your loyal clientele and ensure career longevity.

Schedule:

  1. Monday- Friday - 5-hour shifts during the weekdays.  
  2. We offer a 8:30am shift to 1:30pm
  3. 2:15pm to 7:15pm
