We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Crossville Studios Showroom Sales & Merchandising Director to lead and develop our merchandising strategies across multiple retail locations. Reporting to the Executive Vice-President of Sales, this role will execute on strategies to drive Showroom sales, expand market share, and ensure customer satisfaction across all Crossville Studios branch locations to meet operational goals including annual sales, margin targets, and operating income.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for merchandising & product trends, a strong understanding of consumer behavior, and the proven ability to drive in house showroom and contractor trade sales through effective sales, marketing, merchandising, product & promotional strategies. He or she will lead the day-to-day activities of our Studios Design Sales teams and work collaboratively with Studios operational teams to drive revenue and customer satisfaction to meet organizational objectives.

He/she will also be instrumental in working with their operational counterparts to create contractor strategies to drive sales with our bucket & trowel contractor customers.


Duties & Responsibilities of the Position

  • Sales Strategies:
    • Develop and execute sales, marketing, merchandising, product & promotional strategies to drive new business and relationships across all Studios locations.
    • Implement a cohesive strategy across all Studios locations to effectively launch, merchandise and sell all Studios products.
    • Develop and implement a new product launch strategy that ensures new products are effectively merchandised and sold in all Studios locations
  • Visual Merchandising:
    • Collaborate with visual merchandising teams to create compelling displays and store layouts that enhance the customer experience.
  • Promotions and Pricing:
    • Plan and execute promotional campaigns, set pricing strategies, and manage markdowns to drive sales and manage inventory.
    • Promote showrooms through all aspects of marketing/media and events concentrating to optimize exposure with key customer targets.
  • Market Analysis:
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive activity. Use insights to guide merchandising decisions.
  • Performance Analysis:
    • Analyze sales data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of merchandising strategies and adjust plans as needed.
    • Clearly define goals and objectives for Showroom personnel to measure performance and regularly communicate these objectives to personnel.
    • Implement and scale a system to track and measure all client showroom visits, contact information, and customer preference and selection notes.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of merchandisers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
    • Recruit, train, lead, and develop showroom sales associates in all areas of job specific responsibilities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure cohesive and effective execution of merchandising initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail merchandising, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
    • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
    • Proficiency in merchandising software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Detail-oriented with a passion for retail and consumer behavior.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
    • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Other:
    • Travel required approximately 50% of the time
