UGT is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer for our client based in Richland, Washington.

This is an onsite, 4-Day Work Week role.

In this role, you will provide support to include design, analysis, testing, fabrication, control, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of electrical systems.

Role Responsibilities

  • Prepare electrical conceptual, preliminary, and final design, perform engineering analysis, and develop and prepare engineering calculations.
  • Develop details and prepare engineering drawings.
  • Prepare quantities, cost estimates, and construction specifications.
  • Prepare engineering reports.
  • Review designs, plans, and shop drawings.
  • Perform field observations, inspections, and measurements.
  • Attend project meetings.
  • Produce a wide spectrum of industrial power distribution designs involving power panels, switchboards, MCCs, programmable logic controllers, motor circuits, variable frequency drives, UPS units, transfer switches, metering equipment, transformers, safety disconnects, overcurrent protection, grounding, and lighting systems.
  • Set high standard for conduct of engineering, quality of products, and compliance with procedures, codes, and standards.
  • Be customer service oriented, completing assignments safely, on time, and within budget.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering Required
  • Minimum 9 years of experience in electrical engineering
  • Experience with NFPA 70E, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace.
  • Experience with hazard area classifications per NFPA 497, NEC 500.
  • Experience with the design, installation, and operation of Single-Shell Tank Retrieval Equipment.
  • Experience with electrical system modeling programs for design simulations of electrical load flow, protective device settings, short circuit current, and arc flash data.

Additional Information

  • The work shift will be 6 am to 430pm Monday through Thursday.
