Golf Instructor

POSITION: Golf Instructor – Seasonal Part-Time

REPORTS TO: Golf Manager

FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt

JOB SUMMARY:

Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club is searching for a part time Teaching Professional (24-32 hours per week) to teach alongside the Professional Staff from July through September.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to develop personalized lesson plans to meet each client’s specific needs and goals and demonstrate golf techniques.
• Excellent at communication, strong interpersonal, follow-up and people skills.
• Prepare all daily class materials and conduct awesome, engaging classes.
• Aiding the operation staff as needed with tournaments, special events, and daily instructional programs.
• On-course play performance with clients of all ages and skill levels.
• Physical capabilities to stand, bend, and kneel for sometimes extended periods.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times.
• Other duties may be assigned by management personnel.
• Assist in the inventory control of hard goods, soft goods, and special orders including ordering procedures, display, and sales
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner and always maintain a professional image
• Work cohesively with both Professional & Outside Staff Members.

EXPERIENCE:

• Must have 5 years+ golf instructional experience (private lessons, group clinics, and junior instructional programs).
• Must have a strong desire to achieve professional and financial success.
• PGA/LPGA certification preferred.
• Knowledge of junior player development to college preferred.
• Experience in playing or coaching college golf teams preferred.
• Proficient in video analysis and modern instructional technology.
