Job DescriptionJob Description

SUMMARY

Provides timely, courteous, customer-oriented assistance and service to all external and internal callers and visitors that present at the main receptionist desk at Whipple Dale Centre.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serves as the initial contact and agency representative to all who call the main switchboard or visit Whipple-Dale Centre by providing customer assistance;
  • Directs and/or routes callers to the proper location and/or extension and provides further follow-up by paging staff members when appropriate;
  • Takes and promptly delivers messages;
  • Handles visitor or other stakeholder inquiries and/or directs or escorts them to the appropriate persons according to their needs, while ensuring that agency safety policies and procedures are followed;
  • Announces emergency codes as needed, to include all alerts;
  • Manages assortment of package deliveries and pick-ups for the SSA department;
  • Coordinates daily incoming and outgoing USPS mail and Data Print mailings;
  • Operates office equipment such as computer, weather radio, fax machine, copier, printer, and telephone systems;
  • Assists Privacy Officer to protect confidential information of the individuals served from unauthorized use or disclosure.

OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and one (1) to three (3) years related experience and/or training.
