Schivo Medical is a contract manufacturer of medical devices, surgical and small components in the military arena based in Plainview NY. We are seeking to hire an evening shift table check/parts inspector.

(Shift hours-4pm to 12:30am)

Pay 18.00 an hour (20 percent night differential)


The person must be reliable, ambitious and has the right attitude that want to succeed in a team driven environment.

Table Check/parts inspector job summary:

Visually sort finished parts, organizes, and completes visual checks on parts using a microscope and /or using measuring tools.

Table Check/parts inspector essential duties and responsibilities:

Assist CNC machine Operators by visually inspecting finished machined parts

  • Daily secondary processing of components including but not limited to assembly, visual inspections, gauge inspections.
  • Understand various documentations,
  • Follow Travelers, work instructions, secondary operation report, and blueprints.
  • Assemble components to meet the final desired standard.
  • Visual inspection in accordance with acceptance criteria
  • Use various measuring instruments for dimensional inspections.
  • Inform supervisor of any major defects/issues with components

Skills:

  • Great hand and eye coordination.
  • Very delicate handling of parts.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and organized in general.

Education:

High school diploma or a GED
