Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPipefitting SuperintendentLocation: Dallas, TXHours: Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm Salary: 80-85kA Construction company in the Dallas area is looking for the best and brightest in the market to join their team. The Pipefitting Superintendent is Responsible for supervising work performed on systems ranging in difficulty from small basic industrial installations to large complex projects involving multiple plumbing systems.As A Member of This team:
  • Assist in administrating the company safety program and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
  • Demonstrate proper work methods
  • Ensure that needed plans, blueprints, materials, and tools are available and that needed stock is obtained from supply locations
  • Obtain needed information or decisions from supervisors on problems that come up during the work
  • Maintain current knowledge, and answer questions of other workers on procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives (for example, technical orders)
  • Ensure that there is enough work to keep everyone in the work crew busy
  • Check work while in progress and when finished to see whether the supervisor's instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines have been met
  • Lead other workers to follow instructions received from supervisors, and to meet deadlines
  • Assure that safety and housekeeping rules are followed
  • Report to superintendents and project managers on the status and progress of work, and causes of work delays
  • Answer questions of supervisors on overall work operations and problems with work delays
You Will Need:
  • Minimum of 8 years’ verifiable experience in pipefitting trade and minimum 3 years of verifiable supervisory experience
  • Thorough knowledge of piping blueprints, specifications and codes
  • Thorough knowledge of other major craft blueprints
  • Thorough knowledge of all plumbing/piping systems, from domestic water to medical gas
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to successfully interact with employees and clients on a professional level
  • The ability to supervise multiple foremen
  • The ability to schedule projects and meet deadlines
