Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the integrity of our IT infrastructure, ensuring that all systems operate smoothly and efficiently.

You will be the go-to person for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, from everyday troubleshooting to complex system repairs. Your expertise will support a wide range of IT functions, including hardware and software support, network management, and user training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide end-user support for hardware, software, and network issues. Diagnose and resolve technical problems promptly and efficiently.
  • System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on computer systems, including software updates, patch management, and virus/malware protection.
  • Hardware Installation: Set up and install new hardware, including computers, printers, and other peripherals. Ensure that all equipment is functioning correctly.
  • Network Management: Assist in the setup, configuration, and management of network devices such as routers, switches, and access points. Monitor network performance and address connectivity issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, support tickets, and resolutions. Document procedures and solutions to build a knowledge base for future reference.
  • User Training: Provide training and guidance to users on software applications, hardware usage, and IT best practices.
  • Security Compliance: Ensure compliance with company IT security policies and procedures. Assist in identifying and mitigating potential security risks.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to IT emergencies and system outages. Work collaboratively with other IT staff to resolve critical issues as quickly as possible.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
  • Experience: Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role. Hands-on experience with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows), common software applications, and networking fundamentals. Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and remote desktop tools is advantageous.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a customer-focused approach. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday. Occasional on-call availability may be required.
  • Environment: Office-based with potential for occasional travel to other company locations.

The IT Technician  is regularly required to: • Walk, climb stairs, sit, and stand. • Talk and hear at normal levels. • See with close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and have the ability to adjust focus. • Reach with hands and arms. • Use hands and fingers to operate tools and other business machines. • Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
