Job Overview:

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Audiology Coordinator to join our team at Align ENT & Allergy. As an Audiology Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our audiology department. You will be responsible for coordinating patient schedules, managing administrative tasks, and providing support to our Audiologists. Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling: Coordinate patient appointments and ensure efficient scheduling of audiology services.
  • Patient Intake: Gather necessary information from patients, including medical history and insurance details, to facilitate the appointment process.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for audiology services.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks, such as maintaining patient records, answering phone calls, and managing department correspondence.
  • Equipment and Supplies: Manage inventory of audiology equipment and supplies, including ordering, stocking, and maintenance.
  • Financial Transactions: Process billing and payment transactions for audiology services, ensuring accuracy and adherence to billing policies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Audiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain compliance with regulatory guidelines and quality assurance standards in the audiology department.
  • Patient Education: Provide educational materials and support to patients regarding audiology services, procedures, and treatment options.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in audiology or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records and scheduling systems.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Compassion and empathy for individuals with hearing challenges.
  • Some travel will be required between locations
