Job DescriptionUnder limited supervision, the Staffing Coordinator performs a variety of tasks to support the scheduling and deployment of staff resources at UMMS hospitals. The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for performing daily staffing activities for all resources available.
Responsibilities:
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel so classified.
- Allocates staff according to acuity, volume and staff capabilities to all UMMS facilities and the MFS.
- Generates and maintains records and reports relevant to staffing and scheduling.
- Prepares and checks daily staffing report for all areas and compares staffing needs against the request submitted for each facility.
- Maintains accurate telephone lists of key resources at each facility and accurate data in systems e.g. sick calls, scheduling changes and deployment.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required. Associates Degree preferred.
- One year of related experience required. Two years preferred.
