About The Role


As the Tech Lead for the Applications team, you will be instrumental in enhancing customer and operational user experiences through mobile apps, web interfaces, and cloud servers. Collaborating closely with developers and stakeholders, you will focus on creating WiFi sensing applications. We seek an innovative and team-oriented individual with strong technical problem-solving abilities and experience in application development. This role demands excellent communication skills and the capability to work within a cross-functional product team. You will significantly influence the rapid expansion of Origin’s WiFi sensing product suite.



  • Act as an expert/ mentor providing technical guidance and leadership and to a team of server-side and mobile app developers.
  • Define technical standards, best practices, and coding conventions for the team.
  • Enhance organizational productivity by developing systems, creating tools, and implementing policies or patterns that significantly boost overall efficiency. 
  • Skilled in managing technical planning, work scoping, and prioritization for programs involving multiple teams.
  • Leads multiple teams in forecasting future use cases and assists them in making design choices that reduce the cost of future modifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable, reliable, and high-performance server-side and mobile applications.
  • Architect and implement robust APIs, databases, and server-side components to support mobile app functionality.
  • Ensure adherence to architectural principles, security standards, and scalability requirements.
  • Identify unique opportunities and key differentiators for Origin's products.
  • Frequently assists in refining team roadmaps by aligning them with technical strategies and constraints, with a focus on managing dependencies and risks.
  • Capable of defining and developing new product features by adjusting technical strategies or constraints.
  • Participate in development, code reviews, and troubleshooting to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software.
  • Collaborate with product managers to plan and prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and manage project timelines.
  • Track progress, identify risks, and proactively address issues to ensure the successful delivery of products.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, provide regular updates, and solicit feedback to drive alignment and transparency.


About You:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software development in both server-side development and mobile app development.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Swift, or similar.
  • Knowledge of web services, RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience with server-side frameworks (e.g., Node.js) and mobile app frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
