Job Title: Welder I / Sheet Metal Bench Assistant

Job Type: Full-time

Job Description: We are looking for a Welder I / Sheet Metal Bench Assistant to assist in the final stages of production. This role involves supporting the lead welder by pulling out dents, blending, smoothing, and finishing steel metal products. The ideal candidate should have basic welding knowledge, be familiar with aerospace industry standards, and possess experience with sheet metal tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead welder in final sheet metal bench work.
  • Pull out dents, blend, smooth, and finish steel metal products.
  • Use sheet metal tools to achieve desired finishes.
  • Ensure all work meets aerospace industry standards and tight tolerances.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow.

Qualifications:

  • Basic welding knowledge.
  • Familiarity with aerospace standards and tight tolerances.
  • Experience with sheet metal tools and techniques.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Previous experience in aerospace or manufacturing is preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational training in welding or sheet metal work is a plus.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in aerospace or manufacturing.
