As a Customer Retention Representative, your main responsibility will be to proactively engage with customers, understand their needs, address their concerns, and provide solutions to retain their business. You will work closely with our sales and customer service teams to develop effective strategies for customer retention and help maintain long-term relationships with our valued customers.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and concerns.
  • Proactively reach out to customers to ensure their satisfaction and address any issues or concerns.
  • Work with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling to existing customers.
  • Provide information and assistance to customers about our products and services.
  • Process customer requests, changes, and cancellations with a focus on customer retention.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed customer records and interactions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues or escalate as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge to effectively communicate with customers.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a customer retention or customer service role, preferably in a sales or call center environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain customer relationships.
  • Understanding of sales and customer retention strategies.
  • Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software and MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of the energy industry is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Residence in or near the Cleveland, OH area.
