Support Services at Flint Valley

The Flint Valley Service Delivery team consists of 4 teams: Retreats, Activities, Food Service, and Maintenance. Each of these teams work to provide consistent service so that all campers and guests can have an experience at New Life Ranch that allows them the opportunity to grow in their relationship with Christ. As a Support Services Staff you will work within many of these departments, based on the needs of our guests and staff. This will provide a unique opportunity to see many different sides of camp and to interact with a lot of different staff and guests. Some of the main areas you will work in will be: Housekeeping, Activities, Food Service, Maintenance, and Grounds.

Your Responsibilities:

• Help run and facilitate activities for groups, including but not limited to life-guarding, target sports, & high ropes.
• Assist with meal preparation, service and cleanup.
• Open, run, restock, and close the canteen for groups as needed.
• Help with regular cleaning of cabins of motels, cabins, and meeting spaces in preparation for guests.
• Assist in maintaining grounds and facilities around camp.
• Work as a barista in the camp coffee shop, Camp Grounds.
• Co-host retreats. Hosting includes, but is not limited to, group orientations, being on call to take care of group needs when they arise, and behind the scenes set up (fires, chairs, etc.).

• You have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, exhibiting evidence of a consistent, growing, daily walk. 
• You have a strong desire to grow as a leader.
• You are professional in regard to communication, hygiene, dress, and attitude.
• You are self led (including keeping Google calendar updated, checking emails regularly, and keeping up with your schedule).
• You possess patience, flexibility, and a servant's heart when working with others.
• You can interact, work, and relate well with people of various ages.
• You are able to perform physically demanding work when necessary. 

This is a seasonal contract position that runs from August - May (start date can be negotiated) with full time and part time positions within Support Services available that are paid a contracted amount every month.
