Job Description:

ANGARAI's Architectural Inspector is responsible for ensuring that construction projects adhere to architectural plans, codes, and specifications. This role involves regular site visits, inspections, and collaboration with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to verify compliance with design documents and industry standards.

Major Roles and Responsibilities:

The roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct Site Inspections: Perform regular on-site inspections to assess compliance with architectural drawings, specifications, and applicable building codes. Document observations, deviations, and deficiencies, and report findings to the project team.
  • Review Architectural Plans: Analyze and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate implementation during construction.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor construction activities to ensure the quality of workmanship, materials, and finishes meets established standards.
  • Code Compliance: Ensure that construction activities comply with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations related to architectural elements.
  • Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to address design issues, clarify specifications, and provide guidance on implementation.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inspections, including photos, reports, and any non-compliance issues.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports summarizing inspection findings, compliance status, and any recommended corrective actions.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve architectural discrepancies, conflicts, and issues that may arise during construction.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and report on project progress related to architectural aspects, ensuring that milestones are met in accordance with the construction schedule.
  • Safety Compliance: Monitor and enforce safety regulations and best practices on the construction site, with a focus on architectural elements.

Minimum Qualification and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management, or a related field.
  • Current registration as a professional engineer/architect in the State of Maryland.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural inspection or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of architectural design principles, building codes, and construction techniques.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with strong observational and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, inspection software).
